Plans

Zephex has three tiers. The difference is request volume, backend count, and support level. The endpoint, dashboard, and 10 tools stay the same.

Monthly Requests by Tier
Free555 / moPro3,500 / mo · $7Max10,000 / mo · $19

Requests reset on the 1st of every month. Overage policies are per-tier.

FREE TIER DETAILS

Free - $0/month

555 requests per month is enough to evaluate Zephex and for light usage where you make a few tool calls per session, a few times a week.

  • Unlimited API keys: one per editor, project, or environment.
  • 3 backends: enough for most solo developer setups.
  • No custom key scopes: all keys have full tool access.
  • Community support only.

If you use Zephex daily with heavier tool use, one active coding day can consume roughly 30 to 80 requests depending on how often the agent calls context, search, and code-read tools.

PRO TIER DETAILS

Pro - $7/month

3,500 requests per month covers daily active use. For a solo developer doing multiple AI coding sessions each day, this is the default upgrade tier.

  • Unlimited API keys for separate projects, environments, and people.
  • Custom key scopes so each key can be limited to specific tools.
  • 10 backends for broader MCP integrations.
  • Email support for account and connection issues.

Pro starts with 777 bonus requests free for your first 7 days. You get full Pro access during the trial and are not charged if you cancel before it ends. During your first 7 days, you also get the 3,500 monthly allocation.

MAX TIER DETAILS

Max - $19/month

10,000 requests per month is aimed at teams, heavy individual users, and workflows where AI agents make frequent tool calls in automated pipelines.

  • 20 backends for larger infrastructure setups.
  • Priority support with the fastest response time.
CHOOSING YOUR PLAN

Start with Free. If you hit the 555 request limit in a month, move to Pro. Choose Max when you are running Zephex for a team of 3 or more developers, or when Pro is regularly exhausted.

tools/call counts as 1 request per call, regardless of which tool you use. tools/list is free and does not count against your monthly limit.

UPGRADING

Go to Dashboard -> Billing -> Upgrade Plan. The new limit applies immediately for the rest of the current month. Your existing usage this month is not reset, and your keys, configs, and dashboard history carry over unchanged.

OVERAGE & TOP-UPS (PRO AND MAX)

If you hit your monthly limit, you have three options:

  • Wait — limits reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.
  • Buy a top-up — $5 for 2,000 extra requests or $10 for 4,000. Available immediately, does not roll over.
  • Enable overage billing — requests beyond your limit are metered at $0.003/req (Pro) or $0.002/req (Max) and added to your next invoice.

Top-ups and overage billing are only available on Pro and Max. Free tier users can share for +300 bonus requests or upgrade to continue past 555 requests.

PER-KEY MONTHLY CAPS (PRO AND MAX)

Set a monthly request limit on individual API keys to prevent one project or integration from consuming your entire quota. When a key hits its cap, only that key is blocked — other keys continue working. Set from Dashboard → API Keys → gauge icon.
